6 Principles of Epic Content Marketing
When creating content for your customers (on your website, your social media, your print materials, your sales process, ANY way you communicate with your customers), here’a a few tips to make sure you attract those ideal clients:
Fill a need/Solve a problem
Your customers are looking to you to fill their need or solve their problem. That’s why they’re coming to you- they need something! Always communicate how you do that the best in your industry.
Be consistent
Consistent content is VERY important. When you’re not sharing information and your content strategy is stagnant (or you don’t even have a strategy! *gasp*), customers either assume you’re too busy for their needs or not in business anymore.
Be human
In the age of automated chats and robo-calls, be a breath of fresh air and show your company is just like your customers, just people trying to help people solve their problems.
Have an opinion or point of view
When your content is trying to please everybody, nobody wins. Your customers will think you’re boring and not memorable, and you won’t grow your business.
Avoid “sales-speak”
Avoid always pitching a sale to your customers. Instead, provide informative interactions with them. “How can we help you? What problem can we help you solve today?”
Be the best in your niche
Being the best in your niche will always put you ahead of your competition. That doesn't mean you have the sell the cheapest product or have the most followers, but provide the best product you can and the best customer service will get you very far!
The overall gist of this list is simple: think of your customers and their experience FIRST. How your customers interact with your business dictates their overall perception of your brand, and will ultimately make them your lifelong clients or they will pass you by.
